Fred Chang, Partner
Fred was the founding partner and has been with Allstar Advisory since 2004. He has acted as a project team leader on various client projects involving exchange listings and public offerings in the U.S. and Canada.
Fred has over 15 years of business and educational experience in Southeast Asia, China, United States and Canada. He is extremely proficient in coordinating projects in emerging markets among large and middle market companies. In addition to strong financial industry experience, Fred has expertise in marketing and public relations. Fred was the marketing and business development representative in China for United Airlines. He was the chief liaison for the management and successful execution of the code sharing agreement between United Airlines and Air China. Fred also worked for GE Appliances as its representative in China. In the United States, he worked with a Silicon Valley based NASDAQ listed high technology company, Southwall Technology Inc. At Southwall, Fred was their Asia Pacific manager overseeing business activities in the ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
Fred received a MBA from Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; a Master Degree in Engineering from University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada; and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
Louie Zhang, Partner
Louie has successfully managed government funded research at Johns Hopkins laboratories and private projects in biomedical and IT industries. Louie joined Allstar Advisory in 2005. Since then he has helped clients implement capital raising and exchange listing strategies, set up creative offshore structures. Louie actively advises clients on business planning, financial budgeting and presentation issues. He speaks at municipal government seminars on various public listing and capital raising topics. Louie has a Bachelors Degree in Medicine from Beijing Capital University of Medicine, and an MBA degree from the Business School, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in the United States.
Oliver Hao – Partner
Mr. Oliver Hao is responsible for new client development and communications as well as service. Mr. Hao has been working in foreign aviation industry in China for more than 20 years, he is experienced in client development as well as handling and communicating with clients. Mr. Hao had great personal connections in China market and has extensive personal investor network. Mr. Hao graduated from Business School of University of Northern Virginia, received a degree of Master of Business Academy – Management (MBA).
David Xu – Partner
He had an extensive working experience with China Chemicals Import & Export Corporation (SINOCHEM), Thunis Company (Tsinghua Unisplendour Corporation) and a Danish furniture company, Innovation. Specializing in international marketing, business management and business strategy development, he’s now responsible for client development and relationship management. He is now the president of Beijing China Alumni Association of the University of Aberdeen, member of Beijing Youth Federation, the Beijing Youth Entrepreneurs Association and the British Chamber of Commerce. David obtained his MBA from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, United Kingdom.
Bin Huang – Partner
Bin Huang has over 20 years of experience in bringing in foreign investments to Chinese companies, including 12 years investment banking, 8 years in international finances and 5 years of records as independent director and member of audit committee for both U.S. and Chinese public companies. With profound understanding in the financial markets and regulations, he has completed many deals by taking mainland Chinese companies public on Hong Kong, U.S. and mainland stock exchanges. Being a partner of Allstar Capital, his specialties broadly help the company operate its business in fundraising, mergers and acquisitions areas. Mr. Huang received his MBA from Renmin University of China in Beijing.
Ivan Lambov – Partner
Ivan has over 20 years experience in raising capital, managing high-tech companies and providing funding and advice to small and medium size companies. During his career he has also provided consulting services to Intel Corporation, Pfizer, Telecom Italia, Tiscali, Saudi Telecom, etc. Ivan has served as an advisor to the European Union SME Center in China. He is a partner in a number of Venture Capital groups. He is the author of a unique platform that allows entrepreneurs and startups to create a structured and highly effective pitch to investors. The platform also allows investors to streamline and evaluate investment opportunities.
Ivan attended the Technical University in Varna, the Southern Illinois University and Washington University and holds Master’s Degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. His academic credentials also include a position as an Adjunct Faculty Professor at Columbia College.
Ilgar Abbaszade – Partner
Ilgar joined Allstar Advisory in January 2011 and based in Los Angeles, USA. He leads our consulting and business development activities targeted to Biotech/Pharmaceutical companies in the USA, Eastern Europe and Middle East.
Before joining Allstar Advisory, for over 12 years, Ilgar held Marketing and Product Management roles in the leading biotech companies in US such as Beckman Coulter, Agilent Technologies, Applied Biosystems and Promega Inc. Prior to entering to his business career paths Ilgar served as a Senior Staff Scientist at Bristol Mayer Squib and DuPont Pharmaceuticals. Ilgar also did postdoctoral training at the leading Medical Centers in US, such as The University of Michigan Medical School (Ann Arbor, USA) and Stanford University Medical Center (Palo Alto, USA).
He is the author of 19 original papers related to gene discovery and gene expression analysis published in the leading scientific peer-reviewed publications, including journals such as the Science and JBC.
Ilgar holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, a Ph.D. in Biology from the Georgia State University, and an MS in Physics from the Moscow State University. Ilgar is fluent in English, Russian, Turkish and Azeri languages.
Helen Weng, Partner
Helen is responsible new customers developement, customer communication and services. She has been involved in commercial real estate projects and global asset allocation. She is also involved in the acquisition of media investment in cinemas, including investment in films, TV shows, television shows, web games, online movies, games and investment in general entertainment. Ms. Weng is the former host of the project “Perfect Woman” by Light Media and Tencent, Miss 56th World TechArt Porsche Champion, Best Talent Award and other cinematic films (for Love) actor and other multi-episodes television network programs more than one film and television works award winners, China Central Television CCTV5 sports world host. Ms. Weng is also the founder of the president’s book reading society. Ms. Weng graduated from Shaanxi Normal University Art Department with a bachelor’s degree in literature.
Michelle Wang – Vice President
Michelle works in the area of new client development. She also manages selective public listing and financing projects. She obtained a Masters Degree in International Trade Law (LLM) from Robert Gordon University, in the United Kingdom, after completing her graduate studies (LLM) at the University of Aberdeen in Oil and Gas Law. She has overseen and contributed to a number of successful projects since joining Allstar in 2009.
Stefanie Jäsche – Vice President
Stefanie joined Allstar Advisory Inc. in 2015. She is responsible for capital raise and international Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As). Stefanie has been studying translation and interpretation at the Munich Municipal Foreign Languages Institute, a public specialized academy and a vocational training school for foreign-language careers. She speaks English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian fluently. She had in the past translated many economic related articles thanks to her economics major. Stefanie’s native language is German. She graduated from Capital Normal University in Business Chinese and will soon graduate from Bremen University of applied sciences in International Management and Applied Business Languages with B.A. Stefanie worked for the German Development Bank (DEG) in China during an internship and got experience in Investment practice in China and other emerging markets. She gained expertise in the field of medical equipment, marketing, assurance and certifications. She accompanied small and medium sized enterprises on trade fairs in foreign countries.
